We here at A Remembered Life wish to offer our sincere condolences to you and your family over the passing of your loved one.

Just a brief comment about this website, and how it came about.

My mother passed away after a long battle with cancer. Upon her passing, it was my responsibility to handle her affairs. One of the first items I needed to take care of was when and where her services would be, and also make that announcement through the local newspaper by way of an obituary.

As I prepared what was to be said, I contacted the paper and to my shock, the cost to place her obituary was $162.00 for 2 days. That was about 5 lines, just saying that she passed, and on what date. Nothing about her life. It was just too expensive (would have been over $600.00 to say what we wanted). I was torn because of all I wanted to say, and not many people would even see the information we published. Then came the idea to create a personal website (SweetChar.0rg) and say what we wanted to say with few restrictions, and inform everyone, both near and far of when her services were, and where they were going to be held. The response was overwhelmingly positive. Then came the idea to do this for others.

Through this endeavor, I've come to know and appreciate life in such a beautiful way. The stories people tell, the history of life is immesurable, and invaluable. Creating this website has helped with my grieving process, and I know it will help you in yours.
